September 29th, 2026 will mark the first International Employee Climate Action Day.
This will be launched and celebrated for the first time this year by putting employees in the spotlight as a crucial factor in this transformation.
Hundreds of thousands of employees are already active in their organisations in resource groups, green teams, or sustainability committees, to request and support their employers to move ambitiously towards socially and ecologically sustainable, circular, renewable, and regenerative processes and business models.
This is their day to annually champion and showcase what they do, and how their ideas, courage and agency have a role to play in the changes we need.

This session explores how you can create a positive “green handprint,” which is the opposite of a carbon footprint, by advocating for systemic climate solutions. ClimateVoice’s Campaign Director, Jennifer Allyn will moderate a dynamic conversation with employees who will share their experiences creating change from the inside.
Whether you’re a new employee looking to get involved or a seasoned green team leader, this webinar will give you insights and inspiration to champion progress in your workplace!
Our featured employees include:

They may touch on any perceivable sphere of corporate action, whether it is general awareness, premises and the workplace periphery, core business processes, products and business models, internal decision making and power structures, or the political and communicative sphere outside of the organization.
Draw inspiration from what active employees and green teams across the world are doing to support a sustainable economy and society at their workplaces. You can filter their various activities by topic, or just browse and follow the courage and initiative of the projects intuitively.
Hackathon

Working in diverse teams, you'll identify barriers to employee action at work and develop practical solutions—from digital tools and workshops to campaigns, services, games, or creative concepts. Throughout the hackathon, experienced mentors will support you as you turn your ideas into impact.

If you care about well being and the planet, you are in the majority!
But that fact is not reflected in our news coverage, which helps explain why the 89% don’t know that they are the global majority.”

And in fact, initiatives like the Earth4All and the Global Justice Project show that a thriving economic system that serves both the people and the planet is possible.
