Waste Date in Our Industrial Area

This year, we cleaned up “our” industrial area again – and even pulled a chair out of the Erms River! As a small but dedicated team from Advanced UniByte, together with family and friends, we collected litter and gave the area a fresh start. After refueling together, we headed into a well-deserved weekend. For the first time, we joined the City of Metzingen’s clean-up campaign – and even made it into the local press.
Project Goals
Changing awareness & mindset & raising awareness across the organization

Focus Area
Climate
Environment & Nature

What gave you the courage to start?

The opportunity to actively contribute to environmental protection and make a difference ourselves. We had already taken part in World Cleanup Day several times, but this time, the City of Metzingen’s enthusiasm about our participation gave us an extra boost of motivation.

The Outcome

We had a great time together and received lots of positive feedback. Passers-by thanked us for getting involved and were curious to learn more about our company. The City of Metzingen also appreciated our efforts, and we were even featured in regional newspapers. The children who joined us are already asking when we’ll do it again! In total, we collected around 100 kg of litter – including a chair we pulled out of the Erms.

The Impact

The initiative increased Advanced UniByte’s visibility in the local community and raised awareness of our Green Team, Team Re:think.

The Biggest Challenge

Engaging employees beyond the Re:think team.

The Biggest Learning

Sometimes, you receive unexpected support. The city was happy that we joined forces and highlighted our participation in the local press as a new company getting involved in the campaign. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from passers-by was another great learning experience: Never give up!

Most Enjoyed

We especially enjoyed connecting with colleagues we normally have little interaction with and getting to know their families. It was also great to chat with passers-by, introduce them to Advanced UniByte, and experience their positive feedback. The support from the city and, above all, seeing what we could achieve together made the day truly special.
