September 29th is International Employee Climate Action Day!
Re:Generation Workshop
The workshop is held under the motto “We are the Re:Generation. Become a changemaker for the future.”
It is a one-day, in-person workshop held at the Vodafone Campus in Düsseldorf. The workshop takes place quarterly and is aimed at the wider employee community, with a particular focus on encouraging leaders to participate. A diverse group of approximately 25 employees from different positions and business areas comes together for each workshop. The workshop was co-created by TeamGreen at Vodafo
The Outcome
The project is permanently integrated into the organization and is still ongoing. It started with an exploration phase and initial discussions with The People Network. This was followed by an internal approval and funding phase. The project then moved into the detailed concept development phase, and we are now in the quarterly implementation phase of the workshop.
This also includes the continuous development and improvement of the workshop based on feedback from participants.
The Impact
A regenerative community is growing. The core idea of regeneration is entering employees’ awareness and becoming part of their mindset. The first seeds are being planted to empower them to actively shape this future. In this way, the workshop is influencing the very DNA of the organization.
The Biggest Challenge
Clear and accessible communication and an effective invitation to the workshop are essential, particularly for a format that is highly emotional and differs from the standard training portfolio. Committing to a full-day workshop requires employees to be convinced that their time is well invested. Word of mouth following the first sessions is therefore an important driver for raising awareness and encouraging further participation.
The Biggest Learning
Let it flow – bringing different perspectives and stakeholders into the project and allowing the concept to evolve organically.
Most Enjoyed
The creative co-creation of the workshop, as well as every workshop session with the participants. It creates a very personal and connecting atmosphere, with a great deal of appreciation for our work. It is also incredibly motivating to see that we are many on this journey together.
