Sustainability Workshop: “Climate-Friendly Behaviour”
Our Sustainability Team invited employees, managers and the executive team to explore practical ways to make everyday life more sustainable. The workshop covered topics including consumption, food, mobility, housing, the workplace, electronics and leisure, as well as local sustainability initiatives in the Lübeck region. The Outcome
Participants expanded their knowledge of sustainable behaviour and gained practical ideas for both work and everyday life. The workshop raised awareness of the environmental and social impact of daily choices, encouraged concrete action and strengthened exchange and team spirit. The results and information on local sustainability initiatives were documented in the internal wiki, creating a practical resource that employees can continue to update.
The Impact
The workshop generated new ideas and actions for integrating sustainability into everyday work and future initiatives. Exploring these topics together also strengthened participants’ connection to and commitment to the organisation’s sustainability goals.
The Biggest Challenge
There were no major challenges, and all employees took part in the workshop. The only minor issue was the technology, as the workshop was held online.
The Biggest Learning
Our biggest learning was that sustainability can take many forms and be put into practice in different ways. Knowledge alone is not enough to change behaviour – people also need practical, easy-to-implement actions. The project showed that sustainability is not just a theoretical goal, but something we can actively shape and experience in both our professional and personal lives.
Most Enjoyed
What we enjoyed most was designing the workshop and seeing colleagues develop ideas, share experiences and plan small, sustainable steps for everyday life. It was also inspiring to discover the wide range of sustainability initiatives and opportunities available in Lübeck.
