SHADOW EXCOM
The Shadow ExCom is an unofficial corporate governance body that provides opinions and proposes concrete measures on the company’s strategic issues. It brings together members of the employee collective and works directly with the ExCom Sponsor and CEO. The Shadow ExCom meets regularly, approximately every two months, to discuss strategic topics and proposals for action.

Sharing Resources, Supporting People
The BNS and RD RPS Green Teams at the Federal Employment Agency launched a donation drive for Wärmestube Saarbrücken, a local support centre for people in need and those experiencing homelessness. Employees donated blankets, winter clothing, thermos flasks, hygiene products and other useful items. By giving items in good condition a second life rather than throwing them away, the initiative combined practical support for people in need with a more sustainable use of resources.

Superhuman Mending Day!
We brought a skilled one-woman small business into the office for a mending day. Employees could bring an article of clothing to be fixed and/or participate in a short lunchtime stitching tutorial. Some did both! We wanted to spotlight the importance of fixing rather than discarding damaged garments and give employees a chance to extend the life of their clothing.

TeamGreen – My Favorite Dish
TeamGreen partnered with our caterer at the Vodafone Campus to give employees the opportunity to suggest their favorite vegetarian or vegan meals. Suggestions are reviewed and, if feasible, added to the menu. Popular dishes may become regular options. TeamGreen-approved meals are marked with our seal, making them easy to spot and inviting feedback. The initiative is promoted throughout the canteen and via the Consortium app.

Token & CO2 Dashboard
Transparency enables awareness and action. As AI providers currently lack transparency, the Sustainability Team at neuland - Büro für Informatik GmbH developed the “Token & CO2 Dashboard”. Plugins anonymously collect usage data from AI coding sessions. The Dashboard then displays it, including tokens, provider, model and time, alongside emissions estimates and usage-based costs. Now open source, the dashboard enables other companies to take action to reduce AI-related resource consumption.
